Want to watch today’s letter as a video? Here it is!
I would love your feedback on a few things. Here are those things :)
1️⃣ When it comes to offering live workshops, I’m up against balancing time zones! Could you let me know if I should add another time for an upcoming workshop?
Wednesday, May 15th 7:00pm EST
A live workshop on setting up a house for your writing using a free software called Obsidian (also known as my favorite software ever, ever) so that you can leverage the pages you've already filled into your own anthology.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a customizable digital workspace where you can seamlessly craft and organize all of your writing.
Building systems, especially when it involves software, can be a headache. One of the intentions of this workshop is to demonstrate that ~you don't need to figure it out alone~. We're in this together.
💭💭💭 Here’s where I’d love your input:
What if I offer two sessions on Wednesday, May 15th?
One in the late-morning Eastern time, let’s say 11am or even noon (so PST people can join before work and folks in the UK and Europe can enjoy it as an afternoon workshop, while still accommodating for people who fall in an early evening-time zone).
Then, I’ll also have it run at 7pm EST.
I love workshops around this time because what we are doing—creative thinking, reflection, expression—orients us to be creators more than consumers. Having a live workshop at this time can offer a direct replacement for Netflix, scrolling, etc. if that’s feeling out of balance.
This time will also open up the possibility for people in Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, etc. to join while still accommodating CST/PST.
Thoughts?? Could you let me know?
If you haven’t yet registered, this is one to not miss!!
2️⃣ Generally, what themes do you want more of within Regarding Dew?
Here are the top themes that are cropping up the most in my work with private clients this season.
☁️ Trusting your path. Especially when it looks different than what you see around you, especially when the level of creativity and mystery feels seriously defiant, especially when you want to trust the pull but feel huge fear and self-doubt, especially when trusting your path means transforming who you think you are and how you show up in the world...
☁️ Expressing your creative gifts. This is a place of loneliness and fulfillment, a place of feeling misunderstood by others and a place of deep belonging to yourself.
☁️ Fully embodying your creativity. This means becoming more yourself… and practicing creative ways of being yourself. I refer to this as living out loud.
☁️ Always: creative practice. Starting, returning to, deepening in, evolving, challenging, and expanding creative ways of being.
You might notice these are deeply related and pull on other themes: nurturing a vision, being understood/misunderstood, valuing your contribution, identity shifts, coming home to yourself, and trusting the nature of change (it’s cyclical, it’s patterned, it’s a trip).
I feel IMMENSE gratitude to support so many wonderful people in these areas of exploration through creative mentorship.
Here are the themes I’m most interested in making work/pubic research/offerings around
☁️ Orienting from consumer to creator; I call it creative soul stuck in the scroll! This is about moving from information overload to continual creative expression (that is: intentional, experimental, novel meaning making). A big part of this is supporting others in majorly reducing screen time and reducing/getting off social media.
☁️ Being prolific, not being prolific… The longing! The thrill! The muchness of it all. I’ve seen time and time again how there is suffering in being prolific (our own work haunts us) and in not being prolific (uh, our own work haunts us). I’m especially interested in prolific ideation—as in, lots of ideas and inspiration—and getting stuck in the process of expressing it out, whether to oneself or sharing it with others.
☁️ Creativity and chronic burnout, including prioritizing creative ways of being during polycrisis.
☁️ Digital decluttering. Both energetic, like boundaries around screen time and internet use (see the first one) but also technical: building personal, creative knowledge bases, sometimes referred to as digital gardens or second brains.
☁️ Everyday life: mornings, afternoons, evenings, and all the small moments that string them together as a glorious invitation into presence, inquiry, and creative thinking. This includes relating to our spaces, routines, habits…
I want to hear from you!
I am deeply committed to supporting you in choosing curiosity and creativity in order to live an inspired life.

I’m thrilled to share something happening this Monday, and that is a…
Community Discovery Writing Gathering
Haven’t been to one of these before? They are so much fun (and you don’t need any writing experience or creative confidence to play). I almost never offer these within Regarding Dew anymore, so this is a special occasion!
Here is the map of what the experience looks like…
I’m keeping this short for now, so click that button below to learn more about the experience. I hope to see you there!
To sum it up

Thank you for being here 🧡
Re: Workshop times... My personal opinion is that if people want to join, they will find a way to come. I personally struggle with the idea you'd have to spread your time and energy across a day to offer similar material, when that would spread your audience thinner each time you offer it. If you had a million followers, maybe... but I just don't think it's necessary given that you're a small business run by a single human being, trying to conserve your time/energy while offering your gifts to the best of your capacity. Perhaps in the future, you could put out a call for best dates/times before scheduling, so that interested folks have the chance to put in their feedback before you schedule it? An idea to consider.<3
I totally agree with Elizabeth below. Also, as a single parent for the time being, it's actually easier for me to attend a workshop at midnight UK time than at 5pm, especially in the middle of the week. I guess you need to find out what feels most aligned and sustainable for you.
