So long again, ambient internet...
MAY EDITION
Hey, I’m spontaneously doing two weeks of no ambient internet, starting tomorrow.
What’s ambient internet? It’s a word I came up with years ago to describe digital floating. It’s when you find yourself suddenly in a doom scroll, in a haze of online vintage furniture shopping, or eight Wikipedia pages deep learning about the history of breakfast.
Ambient internet is where a lot of creative research happens. It’s how I love to decompress. It’s also how I love to put off moving through discomfort when it comes to showing up for my projects and creative dreams.
If you were at the workshop last week about doing your thing, this creative experiment is one way I’m doing mine.
Do you... want to join me?
I’ll be checking email during this time here and there, so reply to this letting me know if you’re in. Even if you try it out for a day or two, I’d love the camaraderie.
More to come on all on this, just wanted to invite you in case this creative experiment calls to you, too. Imperfection is a prerequisite.
x Maggy
PS: if you want to learn more about my past experiments in decreasing ambient internet, I talk about it here. I get that sharing these is offering an ambient internet excursion to you, but it’s important context and guidance if you’d like to try this out:
As you can see, this is an ongoing practice for me that I love to return to.
Let me know if you’re thinking of joining along! I’ll be cheering you on.

Count me in!
